Frequently Asked Questions

Clusivi and Plan-to-Pay are leveling the financial playing field and empowering more and more people with opportunities they otherwise might not have.

When you deposit money into a savings account, you must keep track of the balance. This can be complicated because those deposits are mixed with funds for other purposes (like emergencies).

Consequently, we know that all the money in it inevitably becomes fair game to be withdrawn, often for reasons other than what it was originally intended for.

On the other hand, the value of Plan-to-Pay can be described in the following way...

You know how some people hire a personal trainer when they join a gym? By providing a plan, structure, and discipline, they know a personal trainer helps them achieve fitness goals they wouldn’t accomplish on their own.

In much the same way, Plan-to-Pay is a system that gives you a plan, structure, and discipline to help you achieve your purchasing goals.

Plus, you gain cashback rewards through Plan-to-Pay rather than pay it like you would with a credit card.

It’s our way of rewarding your savvy and forward-thinking purchasing decisions with Clusivi!

Plan-to-Pay can be used to prepay for “high-value services,” which are defined as:

  1. Typically starting at $1,000
  2. Received at a future date
  3. Meaningfully improve your life
  4. Create long-term satisfaction

Examples of high-value services:

  • Elective medical and cosmetic procedures (e.g., braces, laser eye surgery, etc.)
  • Annual conferences (attendee tickets or vendor/exhibitor fees)
  • Professional/trade certification courses
  • School academic and extracurricular expenses (e.g., out-of-state trips, band equipment, etc.)
  • Home improvement projects (e.g., bathroom renovation, exterior/interior painting, etc.)

Plan-to-Pay is not used to pay for low-ticket retail products that are often bought impulsively and received immediately (and can cause regret and buyer’s remorse).

Here’s the basic idea behind Plan-to-Pay: Since you’ve committed to purchasing a high-value service that you won’t receive until a projected future date, instead of having to pay for it in full all at once–and potentially being buried under predatory interest and crippling debt–why not break up the total cost into smaller, more manageable payments leading up to it?

Plan-to-Pay is simple and easy to use:

  1. You create an account that includes information about the high-value service you’re purchasing, the payment schedule that works best for you, and the checking account from which your prepayments will be automatically withdrawn.
  2. We’ll send you regular notifications to update you on your progress leading up to your completion date. At the same time, our user-friendly dashboard enables you to track how much you’ve already paid and how much more until you reach your goal.
  3. Plan-to-Pay rewards you with cashback on your prepayments for consistency and commitment to your purchasing process.

Absolutely. We protect your personal and financial information using strict industry-standard security measures, including encryption and multi-factor authentication. Your funds are also held in secure, FDIC-insured accounts.

Currently, it’s not possible to alter your Plan-to-Pay plan after you’ve committed to the payment schedule you set for the following reasons:

  1. The system is designed to help stay on track with your purchasing goal.
  2. It reinforces the relationship of trust with the business that will be providing your service.

This policy is essential in our commitment to giving you financial access that you might otherwise be excluded from.
