About Clusivi
From Frustration to Innovation
How Will I Pay For This?
Problem
Clusivi founder Cedric Lipsey asked himself this question when he saw the cost of a $8,000 dental procedure.
It was an elective treatment, so his insurance wouldn’t cover it.
He had a good job but didn’t want to pay upfront with cash.
While his credit score was strong, his financing option charged a predatory interest rate if the balance wasn’t paid off within 6 months.
In the end, Cedric said “no” to the procedure and left the dentist’s office frustrated.
And as he walked to his car, he realized how many others must face similar situations.
This led Cedric to research and discover some general economic hard truths:
Credit card interest rates and balances are higher than ever, trapping people in debt.
This makes it difficult to contribute their hard-earned cash to any type of savings.
Yet, the U.S. is the biggest consumer-driven economy in the world.
This means that whether out of a need or a want, we will never stop spending.

Solution
This inspired Cedric to create Clusivi, a company that promotes savvy and responsible spending and saving habits through a revolutionary payment system called Plan-to-Pay.
It reflects his mission to empower individuals to improve their economic situation and their lives.
And in the end, by creating financial access and inCLUSIVIty, the question, “How will I pay for this?” that weighed heavily on Cedric’s mind will be easier for everyone to answer.
